The Wyrm was sad when Sha-Ulud stopped petting her, but she was okay. He was here, and covered in shiny stuff. He was, quite literally, her knight in shining armor.

He asked for a pointy-weapon. At first the Wyrm was confused; wasn't everything a pointy weapon? But then she remembered the bad people that tried to hurt her and Sha-Ulud. They had pointy weapons; flying ones and holding ones. Were they guards? Who knows? Their weapons were pointy, though, and many of the dead here had pointy weapons. The Wyrm turned once again to her pile. Carefully grasping a hilt of a sword, she tugged it out of the pile. It fell to the floor with a clatter as the glowing ash covered her face. The Wyrm fell into a sneezing fit that was quite adorable.

Feeling rather bad when he saw the Wyrm's disappointed face when he ceased petting her, Sha-Ulud made himself a promise that he would spend more time with her soon. At least he had his armor now; he was aware that he was more likely to survive to make good on that promise wearing it, and for that he was thankful.

Standing back as the proto-dragon ascended her pile of treasure and ash, Sha-Ulud watched as she plunged her head into the pile, supposedly in search of a pointy-weapon for him. Involuntarily taking another step back as a sword fell to the ground at his feet with an alarming clang, he smiled as he picked up the blade, hefting it in his hands. He liked the feel of this blade; the metal was strong, and would serve him well.

Looking up at the Wyrm's sneezing fit, the Argonian smiled broadly, then winked at her. "So, should we be getting ready to explore this land, outside of the barrow?"

The Wyrm was having a hard time seeing. The dust was in her eyes, and now they were tearing up, so everything looked like the inside of a fishbowl...She tried to rub her eyes clear with half-fists, making sure to keep her claws away from the delicate tissue. They got as clear as they ever would be, and she finally stopped sneezing. At that exact moment, Sha-Ulud did something with his eye(s? With one on each side, only one was visible at a time.) She tipped her head to the size. Did he get dust in his eyes too? Why else would he blink so forcefully? But he was smiling...Weird. The Wyrm put it out of her mind.

"So, should we be getting ready to explore this land, outside of the barrow?" He asked. The Wyrm understood that, and learned that this place was called a "barrow." She nodded, she was ready to go anywhere with Sha-Ulud...Svenja too, and if Lambda had to come along she wouldn't object, but really she tuned him out. He blended into the background.


Meanwhile, Lambda was having a hard time understanding what the glimmering robe did. He felt...energetic, but not quite. He was just as awake and alert as before, but...something changed. And stayed the same. It was hard to understand. But, he was warmer, and Svenja was protected with her armor, so he was okay. When Sha-Ulud asked if they were ready to explore, he nodded.

((It's a sense of fracturing, more than anything. That, and like I need to crawl out of my own skin... It's somewhat better today, but only because I got time to myself...
Svenja: *twitches in her sleep*))

Smiling back at the Wyrm, Sha-Ulud began to look around for an exit, scanning the walls for some trick door, or something. Finding what he was looking for once Svenja had pointed him in the right direction, he pulled a handle, which triggered a section of the rock to pull away.

Turning to see if the rest of the group was ready, Sha-Ulud smiled as he saw everyone give their own go-ahead sign. Walking into the revealed tunnel, he followed it to its end, before emerging out into the entrance to the barrow.

((Where shall they go? Kind of at a loss.))

((Nuuuuu, don't crawl out, cause you're you, the body, and crawling out would be messy. Lots of juices everywhere, and those stains don't come out.
Wyrm: *meanders over* *drops fried squirrel on Svenja's belly*))

((The wilderness, I guess. I kinda want them to find a random dragon to kill.))

The Wyrm scurried into the tunnel first, of course. She was long gone before Lambda could even step into the enclosed space. The others went first, which he was glad for, since he didn't like the idea of going into a small space. The tunnel was just too short for him to stand properly, and he felt unbalanced. Gripping the walls to stay upright, he passed through it in a careful manner, one step at a time, until they were back in the first 'room'. The iron door to the outside--with the design that, honestly, resembled Svenja's bear nostrils--was right in front of them.

"Why didn't Lambda see that passageway before? This trip could have been much shorter." Lambda complained. He mentally blamed his silly human eyes. Sure, they can focus on one object very precisely, but the field of vision is very restricted. Stupid.

((True... And we're out of stain-stick. Bleh.
Svenja: *wakes up* *isn't tripping to the same extent* *twitches a little* Um, good morning?))

((Ok. How are you doing? Haven't seen you in a bit!))

Following shortly after the Wyrm, Sha-Ulud was especially careful not to step on her tail in the cramped tunnel. He didn't feel the same level of claustrophobia as Lambda seemed to exhibit, especially given that traps were absent from this part of the barrow. Running one hand against the stone as he loped along, he was amazed at how dry the stone was, given how much water he had seen in this world.

Stepping out into the entranceway of the barrow, the Argonian turned to look at Lambda, then shrugged. "I didn't see it, either," he replied, not really minding terribly. "Perhaps we weren't meant to see it until we'd taken the journey." Walking over to the black door, Sha-Ulud pushed it open, and walked out into the open air. He wanted to travel, and soon; something about this massive land was so incredibly appealing!

I'm doing good! Kinda bleh physically, but not mentally.))

Lambda grumbled to himself as the group passed through the spiraling hallway that led outside. He wasn't too upset, since they were all together now, but it was a bit annoying.

The sun had risen high into the sky, destroying all shadows and warming up the air. With the addition of the robe, Lambda felt nice and toasty. Birds were singing, bugs were chirping, it was looking to be a nice day. He reached for Svenja's hand.

A large shadow passed overhead. The Wyrm looked up in awe, a sight so familiar...Something she hadn't seen in thousands of years...One of her kind! The younger ones, the ones that fly! They fell to the early human species, along with the mammoths and the dire animals. What were they doing here, in the land that smelled funny and turned leupaks into Argonians? The Wyrm chased it as it flew toward the mountain. Letting out a long, low call, she hoped it would respond.

I think I'm the reverse of that, coincidentally. My body's doing okay, but my mind's decided that the best way to cope with today's events is to shut down entirely.))

Stepping out into the bright sunlight, Svenja had to shade her eyes for a moment in order to see. When she could observe her surroundings, a smile crossed her face as she beheld the beauty of the unknown world. Feeling someone reaching for her hand, she looked up, then realized it was Lambda. So, given this information, the were-bear discarded the subtle holding of hands, and outright hugged the Vortigaunt-turned-human.

Increasing his pace so that he exited the barrow alongside the Wyrm, Sha-Ulud was too busy admiring the surroundings to notice the dark shadow immediately. He certainly noticed the Wyrm's low call, and her retreating form as she raced for the mountain after...was that a dragon?! Sha-Ulud had known dragons in his homeworld, but he had never truly made the connection that the Wyrm might have known others of her kind, and might be just as amazed to see them. Wanting to see this dragon as well, he took after the pair of dragons, his bare feet padding on the loam.

Unlike the Wyrm, the dragon flying overhead had seen its kind recently, and really wasn't in the mood to socialize. So, upon hearing the low roar, it spun around in the sky, flying directly for the quartet with a goal of removing the interlopers from its territory.

Lambda was quite surprised by Svenja's hug. Not in a bad way, mind you. He returned it, but not with as much gusto as his girlfriend, as a dark shadow flew past him and sent an eerie chill through him. He looked up to see the Wyrm nearly sprinting after the shadow and Sha-Ulud trying to follow. What the heck was it, anyway? Some sort of winged reptile. There were some creatures like that on Xen, and some from Earth, but not nearly this big.


When the dragon spun back around, the Wyrm skidded to a stop, assuming it wanted to land and strike up a proper conversation. She had no idea what the dragon really wanted to do, or that Sha-Ulud had followed her.

Svenja: Is it good?))

((Yay..!))

Smiling broadly as she felt Lambda's arms wrap around her as he reciprocated her hug, Svenja looked up as the shadow passed over. Squinting her eyes to cut down on some of the glare from the sun, the were-bear paused, her face set in a quizzical fashion. Although she couldn't precisely place where, given her fragmented memories, she knew that the flying reptile was an impossible creature. Looking at Lambda, she asked him if they should follow, in case the creature was dangerous.

Once again, the Wyrm had misjudged the dragon's intentions. While a conversation was about to occur, in a way, the tone of the interaction would not be precisely civil. Opening its jaws, the dragon roared down a column of flame at the strange, land-bound creature beneath it, the words of its fury only vaguely audible.

"Yol...Toor Shul!"

The flying reptile twisted its body in such a way that it started to hover over the ground, something Lambda did not expect it to be able to do. It opened its mouth and started screaming fire.

As if on some instinct he didn't have before, Lambda tore away from Svenja. He held out both arms and imagined electricity flowing down them--no charging or storing of electricity, like Vorts have to do--from his center. Both hands crackled with blue lightning, growing so bright that he couldn't look at them too long. And then, with the dragon busy breathing flames down onto the Wyrm, he let the electricity loose.

It was like a lightening strike coming from his hand to the dragon! In a microsecond it flew towards the wings of the beast and struck. The dragon didn't roar, as he was still screaming, but it spasmed and nearly fell to the ground. It had to flap furiously while still breathing flames to keep in the air. Then it twisted its tail in such a way that it started moving again, this time heading toward Lambda...



The Wyrm was expecting a new friend, maybe a mate if this dragon was male. When it hovered over her, she smiled. She did not expect fire, or any sort of retaliation. When the fire came, she screaming long and loud, furiously digging at the ground to try to burrow her way to freedom, but some sort of icy stone blocked her way. Luckily she was also a dragon--sorta--and her scales protected her against many things, including fire. It still hurt.

Lambda's attack knocked the dragon away, and even though it was still breathing fire, it had no target. In that brief second, the Wyrm rushed towards Sha-Ulud in an attempt to drive him back to the barrow, where he wouldn't be hurt. She would deal with the dragon herself... Well, maybe Lambda can help. She didn't care what happened to him.

The dragon was honestly not expecting the puny mortals beneath its wings to seriously retaliate when it spat fire. Most mortals, like the ones in cities, shot their weak arrows, or waited for the dragon to land. This dragon had obviously never encountered mages, as it had no idea what hit it, the lightning still sparking over its scales and between its horns. Staggering in the air, it let out a roar of anger, still spitting fire, and began to turn again, this time aiming for the one who wielded lightning.

Not entirely trusting the mage-creature not to shoot lightning again, the dragon decided not to hover, and instead passed over Lambda in a devastating sweep of flame. Assuming that would be enough to incapacitate the dangerous mage, the dragon landed nearby, so as to attack with wings, tail and teeth.


Skidding to a halt as he saw the two dragons face each other, Sha-Ulud watched in horror as the flying one spat down lethal fire at the Wyrm. As soon as the fire had turned away from the Wyrm, he ran towards the proto-dragon, to make sure she was alright. He could see burns, even from this distance.

However, as she attempted to push him away from the scene of the fighting, Sha-Ulud growled, baring short, sharp teeth. There was no way he was retreating from a life-or-death encounter where the lives of his friends were on the line. He could see the dragon landing near Lambda, and felt his blood boiling with anger and hatred at the dragon that would attack his friends, as if by sheer force of will he could become something formidable enough to attack the dragon...

((Goddamn motherfucker, this is the fifth time I've tried to post, and each time it was all deleted.))

When Lambda fired at the dragon, it was complete reflex. Someone hurt his friend, so he attacked them. Now that someone--a massive, firebreathing flying lizard--was attacking him. Again he relied on reflex and ran. The lizard caught up to him in a second. It sent down a column of flame on him, and for a second there was horrific pain, and then...nothing. Lambda was grateful for the numb and dove behind a rock. He still felt the intense heat, but no flames actually touched him now. He tried to catch his breath and wait out the horror. He wasn't sure if the dragon would stop breathing fire. It did when he attacked, but there was no way for him to go now. He was trapped until the beast inevitably moved where it could see him and kill him.



The Wyrm, like Lambda, felt nothing. Her numbness might have been for different reasons, however. The burns might so intense that her nerves were completely gone. Somehow, though, she was able to still move.

She really wished Sha-Ulud couldn't. The damn lizardman fought her as she attempted to push him back into the barrow. He growled in her face, a clear sign that he did NOT like what she was doing. She fell back on all fours and growled at him again, telling him she was pissed, but she allowed him.

Growling to itself when the mage-creature dove behind a protective rock, it didn't seem to occur to the dragon to simply get up, and walk around the rock. Instead, it opened its jaws again, and screamed fire, not seeming to understand--or particularly care--that the rock would protect Lambda from most, if not all, of its deadly flames.

Maintaining eye contact with the Wyrm as she growled at him in turn, Sha-Ulud sighed, then made a mental note to apologize later, assuming the group survived this creature's assault. Drawing the sword the Wyrm had given him from her hoard, he smiled at the Wyrm, then charged the other dragon.

Surprisingly, the flames still seemed to come from behind the rock. From the small sliver of his fingers that Lambda peered through, the flames were still going away, not toward him. The Dragon was still breathing fire at the rock and not him. But these temperatures were turning his whole body beet-red, and he couldn't hide here much longer.

The Wyrm narrowed her eyes and watched Sha-Ulud critically. He drew the sword and smiled, as if saying, "Hey, this came in handy!" and ran toward the other dragon, the one that was busy trying to flash-cook Lambda, or maybe just turning that rock into lava. Who knows. Either way, the Wyrm had to follow--and she did--her loved one to the battle. She couldn't let him have all the fun punishing that dragon, now could she? No. Dragons were matriarchal, thanks to the female's increased size. She had to do the woman's work here.

Even though the dragon somehow hadn't realized that breathing fire at the rock would do nothing to hurt the mage cowering behind it, it did notice the Argonian charging it with a sword. So, as the warrior approached, it lashed out with a wing, slamming the Argonian backwards. Satisfied in the knowledge that it wouldn't be stabbed, the dragon finally began to sidestep around the rock, its flames halted for the moment.


One moment, Sha-Ulud had been charging forward, his sword held high. The next, he found himself flying backwards, before slamming into a tree. Slumping to the ground, the Argonian growled; thanks to his armor, his pride was more wounded than he was. Using the unfortunate tree to haul himself to his feet, the former leupak could no longer deny the impossibly-familiar sensation of his blood boiling, his skin itching as if it wished to be sloughed off. The sensation confused him; he couldn't change if he lacked his true body, could he?

Closing his eyes for the briefest of seconds in an attempt to get his mind under control, Sha-Ulud fell back to his knees, mouth opened wide as he tried to scream. He had gone past he point of no return; the transformation was underway. He felt his bones grow and stretch, then melt, his muscles twisting and arching. The Argonian was vaguely aware of something howling in anguish, then realized it was himself. His eyes snapped open once, blue-within-blue, before the change took the orbs from him.

Where the Argonian had been, a sand-colored, vermi-form body thrashed. This was no sandworm; this worm boasted a fur crest the color of cinnamon, the hair as rough as desert stone, along with spines and teeth that looked like jagged, milky opals. Turning its eyeless head disconcertingly as it felt the vibrations of the aggressive dragon's movement, the were-worm opened its maw, and charged for the dragon.

((Sorry...I've been felling bleh recently. Not doing much but sleeping.))

Lambda was blocked from the world by walls of flames. He couldn't hear or see anything else--the scream and light prevented any other sensations from reaching him. When the overstimulation stopped, he paused, unsure as to what was happening. The lumbering beast moved; he heard something hit something else, and then a faraway thud. Then the very ground shook as the massive beast moved again, growing ever closer to his right side...Lambda felt frozen. His limbs wouldn't move! Go! Run! What's wrong? Do it!

By the grace of the Vortessence, Lambda moved. He stumbled flat on his face, grasping and flailing at the ground like a fish trying to flop back into the water. His hands still crackled with electricity, and it sent odd shivers down his spine when he touched something. Of course, he didn't notice that right now. That Lambda remembered later while he was layed down to sleep but couldn't bear to close his eyes. No, he had to remember exactly what happened; process the day's events before his conscious mind can rest and let the unconscious take over.

Lambda stood and turned back to face the beast. It stood right where he sat moments ago, wings awkwardly positioned like arms by its side, hunched over with its head turned halfway in his direction. Its eyes were positioned on the side of its head, just like the Wyrm and Sha-Ulud's new body. Later Lambda mused on how similar the Wyrm and this beast were. It looked like a more evolved form. Somewhere along the way, it lost its arms and gained fully-functional wings. Lost the land, took to the skies. But right now, in this moment, all he noticed were the wings and how flying creatures had such trouble with lightening. He remembered that feeling before, the feeling of power flowing into his arms from some source in his chest, and then out of his hands and at his foe. He imagined it again, and once more a burst of blue-white energy flew towards the beast.

Meanwhile, the Wyrm was busy with Sha-Ulud. Right after she snapped at him and he ran off, her bigger "cousin" of a sorts paused in assaulting Lambda to attack him. With one mighty sweep of his wing, the Argonian went flying into a tree. The Wyrm gave a shout that no creature with a mouth like hers should be able to do, a horrible, almost humanoid screech. She ran to Sha-Ulud just as the changes started...

It was horrid. He was screaming, but his mouth or larynx or something shifted as he did, and the tone changed with it. Wyrm backed away with her spine arched like a cat's; staring at him wide-eyed and about to hiss in fear. His body shifted in spurt; fur popping out in patches, his limbs molding back into his torso to create a boneless monstrosity. She expected the same creature from before--that angry worm thing that burned in contact with water. But no, this was a whole new creature...Sha-Ulud didn't exist anymore. Now there was something else, and it charged for the dragon...

((Aww... I'm sorry. I understand the feeling, though... I've been a state of incredibly bored anger for a week or so now. All I want to do is sleep, or tear something apart...
Honestly, I've never read that. I would have never guessed. All I've been reading lately is a book about the trilobites of New York.))
((Hmm... Could be fun! Could also be challenging, in terms of the dragon language.))

Svenja was watching the proceedings with mounting horror and rage. She had been unable to reach Lambda due to the flames of the dragon, and was desperate to either help him, or avenge his death on the winged terror that dared to hurt him. Seeing a gap in the flames, she barreled toward the last place she had seen her love.

Immediately, she felt the thick fur on her spine and forearms begin to rise, as the lightning Lambda held caused the air to crackle with electricity. The power seemed to throb for a moment, the whole world holding its breath, before it released with a thunderous crack. Svenja was stunned, in awe of the sheer power that the former Vortigaunt employed. He had lost none of his strength upon coming to this world.


The dragon was now thoroughly confused and annoyed by the proceedings. Now, just when it was about to have a nice, flame-broiled mouthful of mage, a second burst of electrical power flashed across the hard scales of its face. Rearing back slightly, it roared in annoyance, before it suddenly found itself crashed into by something huge and very, very annoyed.

Twisting its head to see what had crashed into it with the force of an angered mammoth, the dragon was, for probably the first time in its life, at a loss for words. The twisted creature was neither man, nor mer, nor Argonian. It looked... The dragon had no concept of what this thing might be. So, using the wondrous powers of logic it possessed, the dragon spat a tongue of flame at what it assumed was the head of the creature. Its reward was to cringe at the smell of burning hair, then hiss in pain as the creature redoubled its efforts.


There was cold and pain. Then there was anger, and even more pain. Then, there was burning, and rage. This was the thought process, if one could call it that, of the creature that had been Sha-Ulud. The were-worm, for lack of a better term, made a sound somewhere between a howl and a squelch as the dragon turned its fires upon it, the sound almost as unpleasant as the stench of burning wormflesh and hair that filled the air. Luckily for the worm-creature, the dragon's fire cauterized its wounds, staunching the flow of the beast's thick, and quite blue, blood. Despite the cauterization, however, the were-worm was wounded, and didn't seem to be quite as sturdy as it had been in its initial charge. This weakness, however, was masked surprisingly well by its growing rage, both at being hurt, and also out of something that might have been a territorial nature.

The moment that it managed to regain its bearings, however, it plunged for the dragon again. The massive crystalline 'fangs', along with the true teeth in its mouth, tore at the dragon's scales and flanks. Now it was the dragon's turn to bleed, and bleed it did. Great gouts of scarlet fluid gushed forth, staining the ground and the Worm-that-was-Argonian a deep crimson. Combined with Lambda's electric onslaught, the dragon soon found itself utterly unable to take flight and escape the terrifying assault. Biting and snapping at the were-worm, it left its flanks open to assault.

The crack! of thunder deafened the world around Lambda. He took the brief moment to run past the other side of the boulder, the side that didn't contain an angry dragon. As he ran, something charged the other way, and the dragon let out a pain shout.

Lambda took only a glance of the...something while running back whence they came. He nearly ran into Svenja, but he stopped himself. Instinctively he reached for her hands, but his still crackled with electricity. Again he stopped himself. He had no idea what it could do to her.

"Wh-what is that? What are both things?" Lambda asked instead.



The Thing That Was Sha-Ulud charged into the dragon like a speeding train. The dragon had no idea what was coming. A hole tore in its wings and it wildly snapped at The Thing That Was Sha-Ulud. The Wyrm reacted quickly; she used this very same tactic on prey thousands of years ago. One member of the pack distracts it--usually the largest or fastest--and the others attack from behind. The Wyrm didn't need to hide herself as she rushed to the exposed flank. She opened her maw wide and bit down hard on a patch of scarred scales.

Damn, these scales were hard, even when injured. Still, she held fast. She could taste blood and raw flesh. It stirred something inside her; usually cannibalism (heck, she ate her own babies) didn't bother her, but enjoying this taste felt...wrong. She pushed those feelings away and busied herself by trying to cause as much damage as possible to the dragon.

So, I'm a year older now. Fun!))

Raising her own hands as a buffer when Lambda came tearing around the boulder like a bat from the jaws of Hell, Svenja's ears flattened as she saw the lightning in his hands. Taking half a step backwards, she made a mental note to not try and hold Lambda's hands until he found a way to dispel the energy; she remembered the electric shock he had sent through she and the guards when they escaped, and she had no desire to be on the receiving end of power like that again.

The former Vortigaunt's words shocked Svenja out of her memories, and she looked behind her briefly. "The one with wings, that's a...dragon! The other, I have no idea," she answered, backing away from the site of combat. She, unlike everyone else, had no weapon. For some odd reason, she felt like she couldn't have transformed at that instant, like she was far too tired.


The dragon, now physically beset on two sides, was at a loss as to what to do. Unable to take to the air, and incinerate those that would dare attack it, it was forced to rely on teeth and claws. However, whatever it was that was wrapping its body around it, and ripping away its scales with crystalline teeth didn't seem too terribly afraid of the dragon's teeth. Ignoring the unfamiliar monster to attack the small dragonoid clinging to its flanks would certainly spell doom for the dragon, as well; taking attention off of the main attacker would allow it to assault the dragon further.

In this moment of indecision on the part of the dragon, the were-worm had managed to get a deathgrip on the throat of the dragon. Clamping down with a three-fold mouth, the beast stifled the dragon's last scream, the dying echo of a pillar of flame dribbling uselessly from the corners of the now-deceased dragon's maw.

Suddenly, the dragon's corpse started to glow, then crackle. Pieces of skin and muscle began to drop away from bone, burning into nothingness before they hit the ground. Showing some measure of sentience, the beast-that-was-Sha-Ulud dropped the carcass, backing away to a safe distance. Immediately following, a strange light obscured the dragon's body from view, turning to blinding intensity, before encircling the Wyrm in a multi-colored web.

What? You are? YAY! One more year closer to MOON BASES! ))

Lambda breathed hard, trying to calm himself down just a little bit so he could think clearly. It took some concentration to understand Svenja's words. She called the winged beast a dragon, and like him had no idea about the furry worm-creature. At least one of them recognized their main enemy. Now for the newcomer...

Where was Sha-Ulud? Just a moment ago he had been attacked...Now...Lambda cursed in his own language. Well that explained a lot. Sha-Ulud disappears and a furry sandworm appears...His other form was changed as well, now furred and with brightly colored "teeth". He shapeshifted, either willingly or unconsciously, to fight the creature, and boy did it help! The dragon was surrounded and about to die...With its last breath it roared, Sha-Ulud's teeth piercing its neck. It slumped over and the Wyrm seemed to back away from it like a startled cat.

And then it started to glow.



The Wyrm felt her more evolved cousin tremble. Sha-Ulud jerked it this way and that, but she held firm, claws piercing its flesh, muzzle deep inside. It died with one last earth-shattering roar, and this one seemed to echo over the nearby mountain like Lambda's lightening. She dug herself out of it, backing away as it slumped to the ground, head lolled to one side. It sat there, still, normal, dead, for only a moment. Then the fireworks started.

It started small, with just a slight sound. A sound of something crackling like fire. The Wyrm backed away even more, assuming some internal fire that powered its attacks was still lit and ready to consume it. That seemed even more plausible as bits of it peeled away like burning paper. But this paper melted into the air with bright colors--purples, yellows, reds, things the Wyrm could only see with her dragon-eyes. It was beautiful.

But then the evil colors struck back just like The Empire. They rushed straight at the Wyrm and she bolted away with a very high-pitched "eeeeeep!" But colors are light and light is the fastest thing in the universe, so the Wyrm had no chance of escaping. They filled her soul with another, and suddenly she was seeing things. Flashes of light, sounds, words, the feeling of being in the air on your own power--of flight--and speaking in a language so alien and yet so familiar. She was seeing through his eyes, through that dragon, whose name was Durruzdilonni, (lol "curse-then-I died") who owned the skies with his brethren, then they were cast away, and now back for such a little time, and now dead.

As quick as the images came, they went. The Wyrm found herself back in the real world with her eyes shut and claws digging into her head. She must have panicked there. She opened her eyes and took her arms off of her head. Did the light hurt her? The images weren't painful, just...unsettling. She didn't feel different, and she looked the same. What the heck happened?

Hearing Lambda mutter something in a language that was certainly not English, Svenja looked over at him, worried for a moment that he might be choking. She had yet to comprehend what Lambda had; Sha-Ulud's disappearance and the appearance of the were-worm had yet to connect in her mind. Seeing that he wasn't in immediate danger of dying, she returned her gaze to the scene before her just as the dead dragon burst into a flood of color and light. Eyes wide, she wondered what the hell was going on, before deciding that she wouldn't understand it even if she did know. So, she chose to watch the spectacle, jaw agape.


Wriggling backwards as the dragon's corpse burst into flame and color, the were-worm tilted its 'head' disconcertingly from side to side, as if it was trying to see what was going on before it. Seeming to hear the Wyrm's panicked squeak, it plunged towards the dragon's skeleton, before plunging its head into the dead bones; it had assumed the dragon wasn't fully dead, and was attacking again.

Receiving naught but more cuts from the hard bones for its troubles, the beast backed up, then shuddered convulsively, as if suffering the effects of some powerful poison. Shuddering once more, a change almost as disgusting as the previous one began to occur as wiry fur retracted, and spines melted back into skin and scale with sickening slurping sounds. Slowly, painfully, limbs and bones grew back from the vermiform body's core, growing back the last of their scales and skin.

Finally, after a mercifully-short span of time full of nauseating noises, the worm-beast was gone. In its place was a battered and burned Sha-Ulud, hanging onto a semblance of consciousness with both hands. Pulling himself into a sitting position, he tried to see where the Wyrm was; he genuinely wanted to see if she was alright.
